Who's The Boss?
I don't know about you, but sometimes I feel like I have two different people living in one small space. (well, if you ask my kids it is a large space). Somedays it's very easy to follow Christ and everything just seems to be going great, other days seem just the opposite.
This battle that we have with ourselves seems to never end. It is very easy to let the old nature take hold and drag us through the mud. We need to remember though, that Christ has made us clean. Even when we get a little dirty, we just need to comeback to Him.
I find that when I am not constantly studying God's word and not in a continual state of communication with God, is when I slip and fall or stray the most. As God has said in His word, He will never leave us or forsake us. I hope that you can all realize where you are in life, and which side seems to be in control. Don't give up. If you will give your life to Him, and let Him hold you up under His power, then and only then will you be victorious.
Who's The Boss in your life right now? You or Him?

What Do You Look For In A Church?
Across the spectrum of Christian churches, we see so many different things that are said to be necessary in a church. Everyone tries to model their church after another, and claims that theirs is the only way to do church.
The problem I see is this: The only set guidelines come from the Bible. Different tactics and strategies will need to be done in different areas. You can't clone the church across the globe and expect it to work. The truth of the Bible must never be compromised, but outreach and programs and ways of teaching will have to change.
I have opened the blog up so anyone can comment without having to log in.
